Thunderbird 11-11-11
Thursday-Sunday, Nov 10th - 13th
Thunderbird Global Celebration begins at 7:00 a.m.Thursday - Noon Sunday.	In tandem with the Thunderbird 11-11-11 events, the Class of ’86 will be offering additional class activities where noted in the schedule below. Learn more about 11-11-11 »
Class of 1986 Calendar of Events
Thursday, November 10th
Festivities begin at 9:00 p.m. Thunderbird campus	Original Pub Night - Last Night Ever! Be here as we give a final toast to Thunderbird's old campus pub.
Friday, November 11th
	Pick up your Reunion Registration packet on campus Take a campus tour while you pick up your reunion weekend details if you are not already attending the Global Business Dialogue.
12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Embassy Suites North Phoenix Hotel	Class of ’86 Pool Party and BBQ * Embassy Suites North Phoenix Hotel Reconnect with old friends and network informally over lunch around the pool (lunch can be paid for at party).
Festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. Thunderbird campus	Tower Celebration Celebrate the new Tower and pub with an unveiling ceremony, cocktails, buffet dinner, named entertainment, fireworks and more for a once-in-a-lifetime homecoming weekend.
Saturday, November 12th
5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m	Margaritas and Beer on the Tower Lawn
7:00 p.m. - 9::00 p.m.	Class of ’86 Mexican Fiesta Reunion Dinner * Thunderbird campus at the FISH on the quad next to the pool Join your ’86 classmates for a special dinner dedicated to our 25th reunion. Dinner must be pre-paid - $40 pp. Cash only bar.

Class of ’86 Gift

We, the class of 1986, have a special offer on behalf of the Thunderbird Tower Restoration Project to have the naming rights for the bar in the new pub. Many of us have benefitted from the generosity of other alumni for scholarships and more; so, this is our chance to give back by commemorating a place where we made lasting friendships throughout our unforgettable Thunderbird tenure. Photo Slideshow

Want to show off pictures of your time at Thunderbird?
 
We’d like to organize a slide show during the Class of ’86 Mexican Fiesta Reunion Dinner.  Many of you may have digitized those old photos from 25 years ago, but if not, here’s a perfect excuse!  We’ll publish the final show on the internet for you to access after the reunion.  It would be great if, for each picture submitted, you provide some details as to the date, place, reason for the photo (Elizabeth’s 29th birthday) and tag the people in the photo.

1. Please submit all pictures by 10/1/2011.
2. We’ve set up a special e-mail account.  Send all pictures to: Weston Waugh at westonjwaugh@global.t-bird.edu.
   
3. Please submit pictures in .jpg format (you may have to scan photos prior to submitting). Please make sure that the orientation you scan with matches the picture.
   
4. Use Microsoft’s Live Photo Gallery (freeware) to detail the photo.
   1. From the “Edit” tab:
      1. Use “Rename” to name the photo to describe the event (Elizabeth Smith’s 29 birthday)
      2. Use “adjust time” to tag the photo with the date taken
   2. From the “Home” tab
      1. Use “caption” field if you’d like to add something like “She was so surprised!”
      2. Use “description” field to capture details of date and location (in that order)
      3. Use “People tag” icon to identify people in the photo from (left to right if possible) and use maiden names

It will take a little time and effort to first find your photos and then process them as above. However, the end result will be a fantastic documentation of our years at Thunderbird and can serve as a highlight to the Alumni website. The end result will be worth the effort!
