Dr. Joan M. Neice joined Thunderbird as Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Thunderbird in July 2005.

Vice President and Chief Development Officer

Dr. Neice is responsible for the Thunderbird School of Global Management's development activities, including fundraising, capital campaigns and donor relations. In addition, she oversees alumni relations.

Before her Thunderbird appointment, Dr. Neice served for eight years as Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Marylhurst University in Oregon.

Prior to her work in academia, Dr. Neice served nearly 20 years in upper management positions at Bank of America (Portland, Oregon), Bank of California (San Francisco) and Chemical Bank (New York).

She holds a doctorate in Postsecondary Education/Organizational Leadership from Portland State University and a Masters of Science in Postsecondary Education/Organizational Leadership from Portland State University. She completed Chemical Bank's (now JP Morgan) Management Training Program, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Montclair State University.

Dr. Neice is a board member of the Collaboration for a New Century and a member of the Phoenix 100 Rotary Club.
