All Global MBA applicants must be admitted to both schools before being admitted into the Global MBA for Latin American Managers program. Admission standards in place at the time of the application apply. |
For a complete listing of application requirements, go to how to apply.
The evaluation process for admission weighs the grade point average with the test scores along with other factors, especially professional and international experience and exposure. Extra-curricular and community activities are also considered.
Admission decisions are made within one week of application completion. A space in the class is not reserved until the tuition deposit of U.S.$3,800 is received.
Returning to Program After an Absence
Students must meet the graduation requirements specified in the Program Catalog in effect at the time of admission, provided that their studies are not interrupted by an absence of more than one term. Students returning after an absence of more than one term must follow all regulations in effect for students entering in that class. Returning students will be expected to pay tuition and fees in effect at the time of their return.
Global MBA for Latin American Managers degree requirements must be completed within five calendar years of a student's initial enrollment. Courses completed earlier than five years before the effective date of graduation may not count toward degree requirements.
Students in the Global MBA program are preparing themselves for careers in which they will likely be given supervisory responsibilities at a senior corporate level. They are, therefore, expected to demonstrate maturity, self-discipline and ethical behavior throughout the period of their study. The School may cancel a student's registration at any time for conduct deemed inconsistent with the maturity expected of an international executive.
All students who matriculate must abide by the Honor Code, which is printed on the Global MBA Application for Admission.
All students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Students who do not maintain the appropriate cumulative grade point average will be placed on academic probation for one term. Failure to achieve a 3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average after one term on academic probation will result in dismissal from the program.
Note: When filed with the Registrar's Office, all grades are final and are not subject to change by reason of a revision of the instructor's judgment. Changes may be made only to correct an error in computation or transcription.
To participate in the program effectively, every Global MBA student is required to have an advanced computer system and related software. The student's computer provides access to the Internet for interaction with faculty, other students, and the Global MBA administration. The student's computer must be multimedia compatible.
The computer hardware must meet or exceed the following standards:
Minimum Standard
Recommended Standard
You are responsible for maintaining a useable e-mail address server. Occassionally, e-mails "bounce back" to us because of insufficient storage to receive incoming e-mail. Sometimes this happens because the receiving server has limited storage capacity and/or the user has saved too many e-mail messages. Because of this, your permanent e-mail address must have a minimum storage capacity of 5MB. Please review this file for complete e-mail requirement information.
The Microsoft Office Suite 2002 software and Windows XP are used in most courses and students must be proficient in their use. Therefore, students must have the most current versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access installed on their computers. Global MBA for Latin American Managers students are also responsible for Internet provider access fees and access fees to on-line research.
Note: Program price and policies are subject to change. At any time, the Global MBA for Latin American Managers program reserves the right to make whatever changes it deems appropriate in course scheduling, assignment of instructors, and prerequisites.
