Tuition and Fees

Tuition for the Post MBA Program for students entering and continuing in Fall 2012 is $1,436 per credit hour.

(1) All students are required to carry adequate health insurance and are eligible to participate in the School plan. Students may waive the School plan by presenting evidence of comparable or superior insurance coverage by Friday of the first week of class. Once a waiver is granted, the student may not obtain coverage during the remainder of the trimester if their plan terminates or their circumstances change. The Thunderbird insurance policy provides for international coverage. Students who have a comparable policy and plan to attend an overseas program should find out whether or not their policy will cover international claims.Students attending a Winterim session are covered by the student health insurance policy unless the insurance is waived. The fee will be assessed in the following trimester.
(2) The Thunderbird Student Government (TSG) Fee is $150 per trimester. The money is managed by TSG.
(3) This fee does not apply to courses taken for the purpose of meeting language requirements, exchange programs hosted at off-campus locations, and internships.  The Materials Copyright Fee is non-refundable after the drop/add period has ended.
Students need to budget for books, personal computers and instructional supplies, as well as for miscellaneous and unexpected expenses. For most students, the cost of books and supplies averages about $710 per trimester. The price of a laptop computer with the required features costs approximately U.S.$1,500.
Various fees may be required of continuing students for special programs and activities, such as Winterim courses and overseas or exchange programs. Students are notified of the amount of the fee at special meetings and/or registration for the program.
The above statement is provided in accordance with the institution's business license agreement with the Arizona State Board for Private Post-Secondary Education.
Note: The School reserves the right at any time to amend its tuition fees and methods of payment, in addition to any policies regarding such tuition, fees and payment methods.

Tuition Deposit

A non-refundable tuition deposit of $625 is required upon receipt of a Conditional Acceptance in order to obtain the Official Acceptance.

Acceptable Forms of Payment:
Money orders, personal, cashier's or traveler's checks, payable to Thunderbird School of Global Management; MasterCard, Visa and American Express are all acceptable for payment of tuition and fees. All checks must be in U.S. funds. Electronic transfers will be posted to student accounts. The School cannot accept cash payments.

Refunds

  • If a student withdraws or is dismissed from the School during a trimester, the tuition charge (not including fees) will be refunded according to the refund schedule.
  • The refund schedule also applies to any student who, in reducing his or her hours, becomes eligible for part-time tuition.
  • Tuition and fees for Winterim courses are not refundable.

Tuition, Room and Board

Payment in full for tuition and all fees is to be made no later than the published payment deadline each trimester/interim.

Students who fail to do so will be dropped from their classes. Reinstatement, on a space-available basis, requires payment of tuition and a late registration fee. This includes those students who are expecting financial aid. Finance charges of 1 percent per month will accrue on the second day of any unpaid balance (except where prohibited by federal student loan regulations). Students must clear up any unpaid balance or provide proof of ability to pay prior to registering for any subsequent trimester. Failure to make full restitution on any unpaid balance will result in the School withholding transcripts and diplomas. The School will avail itself, if necessary, of any or all legal means of collecting unpaid balances including charging reasonable and customary legal fees.

Additional Expenses

Students need to budget for books, materials fee,personal computers and instructional supplies, as well as for miscellaneous and unexpected expenses. For most students, the cost of books and supplies averages about $530 per trimester. The price for a laptop computer with the required features and configuration costs approximately $1,200. For those students living on campus, a $695 meal plan purchase must be made the first day of class.

Student Health Insurance

All students are required to carry adequate health insurance, and are eligible to participate in Thunderbird's health insurance program. Each trimester they are enrolled, entering and continuing students who prefer to use their own insurance may qualify for a waiver of coverage by presenting evidence of comparable or superior insurance coverage by Friday of the first week of class. -0- credit interns must also pay for Student Health Insurance unless waived. Once a waiver is completed, the student may not obtain coverage during the remainder of the trimester if their plan terminates or their circumstances change. The Thunderbird insurance policy provides for international coverage. Students who have a comparable policy and plan to attend an overseas program should find out whether or not their policy will cover international claims.
